The United Kingdom, UK says it will scrap a pre-departure Covid-19 test requirement for the vaccinated visitors entering the country starting Friday, January 7, 2022.
This comes up after the affected airlines made moves for the rules to be removed.
According to the Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday, "following a regular three-week review of travel rules, a test will still be required within two days of entering the country, but the requirement for a costly PCR test will be eliminated."
The changes will take effect from 4am this Friday, January 7 and will no longer require the fully vaccinated visitors and under 18 travelers to present a test result.
The rules remain the same for the partly and unvacinnated travelers who must present a negative predepature test result, quarantine for ten days upon arrival, and take day two and day eight PCR tests.
