Canada Resumes Express Entry For Permanent Residency

The Canadian government has announced the resumption of its Express Entry scheme. The Express Entry scheme was introduced in 2015 but suspended due to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Canada's Express Entry scheme is now issuing invitations to apply for permanent residency. Due to an excess of applications brought on by the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, the invitation rounds for all programs were postponed. In Canada's first all-program Express Entry draw for applications for permanent residence since December 2020, a total of 1,500 invites were sent out on July 6.

According to a statement made by the Immigration Minister, Sean Fraser, "I am pleased to announce that Express Entry draws have officially resumed and applications will be processed at our six-month processing standard."

Programs for skilled workers run by Canada's Express Entry system have been suspended. The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) are among these. CEC is a well-known route for international graduates with work experience and temporary foreign workers to obtain permanent residency.

A job offer is not necessary to qualify for permanent residency under the Express Entry system, but it does increase a candidate's ranking in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which is used to assess applicants based on their human capital. Age, education, linguistic proficiency, and work experience are among the factors that determine the CRS score. Select the immigration route that is best for you. Check your CRS score and gather the necessary documentation, including results of language tests, educational evaluations, job offers, police certificates, medical examinations, and proof of finances. Create and complete your profile as you wait in the pool for invitations.
