The government of German has announced that entry restrictions to the country will be relaxed for all categories of travelers until at least January 31.
According to the German government, travelers planning a visit to the country would be granted permission to enter without having to show a vaccination or test certificate.
“Entry into Germany
will remain uncomplicated until January 31, 2023. Anyone entering Germany does not have to prove
that they have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, have recovered from it, or have been tested,” the government stated.
The German government has announced that relaxed
entry restrictions for travelers from countries not on its virus variant list
will remain in place until January 31. Since no country is currently on the
list, everyone is given restriction-free admission even if they do not hold a
vaccination, recovery, or test certificate. Germany will also keep in place new
COVID protection measures starting October 1.
The German Bundestag adopted a proposal from the Ministry of Health on September 8. By enforcing these rules,
Germany will be protected against the spread of the coronavirus outbreak. On
long-distance trains from Saturday, October 1, all passengers above the age of
14 must wear an FFP2 face mask, including children between the ages of six and
thirteen, who will also have to wear a face mask.
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control reported that 93.5 percent of adults had received their primary vaccinations as of September 22 and 74.4 percent had received their first booster dose.
