UAE Releases Outpass Requirements and Overstay Fines For Visitors

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has warned visitors to the country as soon as their visas expire. The UAE authorities stated that travelers should be informed of the implications of overstaying their visit visas in the country.

You must get an out pass or exit permission from the airport or immigration office at land borders to leave the country if you have overstayed your visa and pay fines for the extra days after the expiration date of your visa.

Travelers who have overstayed their visas in the UAE must now seek an outpass or leave permit at the airport or immigration offices at land borders, according to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai. According to professionals in the travel business, the country grants travelers a 10-day grace period after their visas expire. According to the travel industry, obtaining permission and paying a fee of Dh200 to Dh300 are required for travelers who have overstayed their visas in the UAE.

Recently, the UAE banned in-country visa extensions, forcing travelers to leave the country to renew their visas. Some tourists received unexpected fines and permission fees since they needed to be informed of this extra procedure. The UAE currently has travel agencies that offer airport-to-airport packages with same-day visa status changes.
