The health officials of Singapore have
announced the relaxation of certain travel restrictions for visitors entering the country. The new move is to grant non-fully
vaccinated travelers entrance to the country. Singapore is taking significant
steps toward recovering from the acute phase of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Singapore is no longer mandating travelers who are yet to receive all recommended vaccinations to present COVID-19 test results or acquire coronavirus travel insurance Starting February 13.
However, according to the ministry of health, all travelers arriving in Singapore by air or sea must still present a health declaration before or upon arrival.
In the event of global changes that warrant
alarm, such as new varieties, immunized travel lanes will remain “for reactivation.”
The COVID task force will be abolished, and wearing a mask indoors or on public
transportation will no longer be required, but the ministry of health still
advises people to do so if they exhibit any symptoms.
The relaxation of COVID-19 travel
restrictions for travelers who are not fully immunized and the lifting of the
ban on mask use in public transportation and indoor health facilities marks a
significant step toward Singapore’s return to normalcy. Still, officials urge
residents to continue using safe health practices to keep the pandemic under
control.
