United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a relaxed visa requirement for international workers seeking remote employment in the country by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP).
Foreigners can now obtain a virtual work residence visa more easily due to the ICP's lowered visa criteria. By enabling them to finish the application procedure from their existing location, this new policy allows independent contractors additional freedom.
According
to the rules and conditions of the visa, the virtual work residence permit can
be extended for an additional year. People can use the intelligent application or the
ICP website to submit applications (UAEICP).
For the residence visa
application to be processed, the applicant must arrive in the UAE within 60
days. They must also have a health insurance plan and a passport with a minimum
remaining validity of six months. They must also present documentation of work
with a one-year contract and a minimum monthly wage of $3,500 or it's equivalent
in another currency. Also required are three months' worth of bank statements
and the pay slip from the previous month.
Each participant in the virtual working program must pay AED350, and applications that do not match the conditions will be electronically rejected 30 days after receiving them. If rejected, the fee and financial guarantees are returned.
