Tourists Overstaying Visas To Be Blacklisted and Banned - UAE

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that tourists who overstay will be blacklisted and banned.

Any traveler who overstays his or her visa may be denied entry into the UAE. Travel agencies have sent circulars, warning tourists that if they do not depart within five days of their visas expiring, they risk being blacklisted and banned from entering the United Arab Emirates (UAE) or any other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nation. When tourists overstay their visit visas, travel firms and tour operators file absconding cases against them.

The travel agencies state that "if visitors do not depart the UAE within five days of the expiration of their visa, they risk being placed on a blacklist and barred from entering the nation.

According to a travel agency, travelers who overstay their visa period in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are subject to absconding cases. The travel agency supports the traveler if they enter the UAE on a 30- or 60-day visit visa. The agency may suffer damages and run into difficulty if the traveler stays beyond the terms of their access.

Visitors who overstay their visas may incur fines and experience issues with visa application portals, making it challenging to apply for fresh visas. Additionally, they might have to pay an exit charge to leave the nation, which could be costly for travel companies. Travel agents now can file absconding proceedings against visitors who overstayed their visas to lessen these issues.
