The United Kingdom has announced the establishment of a new visa center in Nigeria. The new visa center is established in Enugu, the state capital of Enugu state in the Eastern part of Nigeria.
This was confirmed by the State government, saying that the new visa center is to assist residents, the South-East zone, and the country in applying for visas. This was part of Governor Peter Mbah's request during a visit by the UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr Richard Montgomery, in June.
This development was confirmed in a letter of appreciation
from the State Government's secretary, Professor Chidiebere Onyia.
To promote trade and cultural ties between
Enugu State and the UK, the government is thrilled about the creation of a visa
center.
According to a statement released, “The Enugu State Government therefore looks forward to
a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the UK, as the visa center would
help cement the relationship.”
The government has urged Southeast residents to take advantage of the visa application process in the state, pledging to enhance security for residents and visitors conducting business in the region.
