France Introduces 4-Year Visa For Highly Skilled Non-EU Workers

France has announced the launch of a four-year Talent Passport Program for competent non-EU workers to promote economic growth and diversity in the workforce.

The program offers streamlined procedures for professionals who want to contribute to France's vibrant culture. This initiative demonstrates France's commitment to attracting global talent and fostering innovation. The program promises a pathway for professionals to live and work in one of Europe's most culturally rich and economically vibrant countries. The program is designed to attract top-tier talent from around the globe.

Skilled foreign workers can reside and work in France for four years with the Talent Passport, commonly known as Passeport Talent. This program is intended for non-EU nationals with extraordinary abilities and knowledge in disciplines like academia, science, literature, the arts, sports, education, and entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs need to fulfil certain requirements, like having five years of relevant experience or a Master's degree. Furthermore eligible to apply are international company employees deployed in France and legal agents overseeing operations in the country.

The Talent Passport program in France offers a unique visa for individuals over 18 years old to work in France. The salary requirements vary based on the category, with highly skilled employees and corporate appointees receiving three times the minimum salary. Artists must show savings of 70% of the French minimum wage each month. After arrival, spouses and children can apply for multi-year residence cards, allowing them to look for work in France. Highly qualified workers must have a full-year contract. After two months, individuals can apply for a four-year multi-year resident visa, which can be renewed if program requirements are met.
