The UAE and the US have entered an agreement to enhance Emirati citizens' travel efficiency and facilitate their participation in the US Global Entry Program. The agreement, signed by the UAE Ministry of Interior and the US Department of Homeland Security, will be operational by October 2024.
The US Global Entry Program is a reputable traveller initiative that enables pre-approved individuals to expedite entry at US airports, reducing delays and enhancing convenience for frequent travellers. UAE Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba emphasized the partnership's significance in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting security, commerce, and travel. Emirati citizens can access expedited entry at 75 US airports and other international locations after finalizing consultations between the two governments, enhancing security measures.
The Global Entry Program provides expedited and simplified US entry for Emiratis, offering numerous benefits for frequent international travellers. Global Entry kiosks offer quick entry at major US airports, eliminating long processing lines and paperwork, and reducing waiting times. Emirati citizens can use Global Entry kiosks at US Customs and Border Protection Preclearance facilities or US ports of entry, but must still hold a valid US visa.
