Poland's 2025 C-Type Schengen Visa Update: Higher Fees and Digital Applications Introduced

Poland updated its C-Type Schengen Visa regulations in 2025. The changes aim to streamline the application process, enhance security measures, and align with Schengen-wide policies. The visa permits short-term stays of up to 90 days within 180 days in Poland and other Schengen countries.

The key changes include increased visa fees, stricter application procedures, and a digitalized application process. The visa fee for adults has increased to €80, while children aged 6-12 will pay €40. Applicants will undergo more thorough background checks to prevent visa misuse.

The C-Type Schengen Visa provides a pathway for job seekers to explore opportunities within Poland. With this visa, individuals can attend job interviews, network with potential employers, and explore Poland's labor market while staying legally for up to 90 days. However, this visa does not permit legal employment.

To apply, applicants must meet specific criteria, including holding a valid passport, providing proof of travel insurance, and demonstrating sufficient financial resources. The application process involves completing the Schengen Visa Application Form online, gathering supporting documents, and scheduling an appointment at the nearest Polish embassy or consulate.

Processing times typically range from 10 to 15 working days but can be longer during peak travel seasons. Poland's updated C-Type Schengen Visa regulations bring new opportunities and stricter controls, so travelers and job seekers should prepare accordingly to ensure compliance.
