Procedures for passengers planning to travel to Nigeria.
1. All intending passengers to Nigeria must have tested Negative for COVID-19 by PCR in the country of departure. The test must be done within 72 hours before boarding from the country of departure or 96 hours before arriving in Nigeria.
2. Before boarding, all intending passengers are required to register and upload test and travel details, book, and pay for the COVID-19 PCR test to be done 7 days after arriving in the country. The registration must be done via the Nigerian international travel portal: https://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng
3. A QR-Code will be sent to the intending passenger which must be printed out by the passenger and present at the boarding point.
4. Upon arrival in Nigeria, passengers must self-isolate. After 7 days, passengers must present themselves at the testing center for the COVID-19 PCR test sample collection.
5. Post sample collection, the passenger must continue self-isolate until they receive the result. During the period of self-isolation, they are to avoid physical interactions with friends, family, colleagues, and other members of the public.
6. The test result should be ready within 24 hours. The State Public Health Team and the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) will be informed accordingly. On the third day, after sample collection, Passenger should check the Lagos Biobank portal, using their invoice numbers for results.
7. If the result comes out negative, passengers can come out of isolation, but if positive, they should further isolate for another 7 days. If there are symptoms during this period, please call 08000EKOMED or 08000CORONA.
