The French government has announced that anyone coming into the country will need a negative Covid test.
The new policy which takes effect from today Sunday 24, January would see travelers arriving in France by air or sea presenting a negative Covid test. The government says.
From Sunday, anyone entering France by air or sea will need a negative Covid test, which must be a PCR test performed in the previous 72 hours. It added that rapid-result antigen tests on offer at many pharmacies will not be accepted.
It concluded by saying that "traveling within the passport-free Schengen-zone has become a minefield with varying test requirements instituted by airlines and governments. It also doesn’t make sense that you can arrive by train or car without doing the test while air and sea travel is deemed extra dangerous in spreading the Covdi-19."
