The United Kingdom has announced that it will relax Covid-19 restrictions from Monday 29 March as part of the country's route back to normality.
The current lockdown with people being required to remain at home and observe strict restrictions has been in place since January.
According to the UK government, the rule of six will be re-installed for outdoor gatherings. This means groups of up to six people from different households out of doors, either to exercise or for recreation.
The changes in the rules about gatherings will also see an unlimited number of people from two different households able to meet outdoors, meaning people can now see family and friends more easily. Also, groups of the appropriate size will be able to meet in private gardens.
Other significant changes will be that people will once again be allowed to use outdoor sports facilities from Monday, March 29.
Another major change to lockdown rules will be that the stay at Home order, which has been in place throughout the current lockdown, will be lifted, as people will now be able to leave their homes.
