Countries On UK's Safe Travel List May Drop To Eight

Only eight countries may be declared safe for travelers in the summer as many European countries are not likely to make the UK's green list.

According to Robert Boyle, BA former strategy chief, most of the European countries are going to be classified as 'red' meaning quarantine will be required for any passenger arriving in the UK from those countries.

Currently, holidays abroad are illegal in England with the rules expected to be relaxed on May 17, 2021.

The report has it that France, the Netherlands, Turkey, Croatia, Sweden, Belgium, and Luxembourg may be added to the 'red' due to high Covid rates.

Travelers arriving from countries listed as 'red' would be required to quarantine at a hotel at a cost of £1,750 upon their arrival in the UK.
