A new operator, Cardinal Airlines is about to commence flight services in the country, the source confirmed.
According to the reports, Cardinal Airlines is currently undergoing the Air Operators’ Certificate (AOC) process from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
It was gathered that the new airline would commence with domestic operations and then the international in a few weeks. It was also gathered that the application for the air transport license has reached an advanced stage and the new operator is ready to start domestic operations as soon as things materialized.
The Chairman of Cardinal Airline, Alhaji Masud Bashir disclosed that the new airline is planning to bring down the cost of air travel to a reasonable rate.
Alhaji Masud Bashir added that the carrier would have its operational base in Abuja and will operate at all airports across the country.
The carrier will commence its operations with four aircraft and later increase the fleet as the operation progresses. Masud stated.
