UK government had revealed its plan to waive the quarantine requirement for the fully vaccinated travelers entering the country from amber list countries.
The UK’s transport secretary made this known via his tweeter handle on Thursday 24 June. According to him, there is no specific date fixed for the new measure to come into force but assures it will be later in the summer.
The decision to waive quarantine comes as a sigh of relief to the travel industry following one year and a half of painful restrictions.
The new rules mean that the fully vaccinated passengers from the current UK's green list would not need to quarantine when arriving in the UK but would still need to take a day two COVID-19 test.
