German national carrier, Lufthansa has announced the resumption of flight services to the Garden City of Port Harcourt from Monday, 2nd of August.
Following the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority NCAA's announcement on the reopening of Port Harcourt airport for international flights. Lufthansa Airlines says it will resume its operations in Garden City.
According to the airline, "starting from Monday, 2nd of August, the carrier will commence five weekly flights from Port Harcourt to Frankfurt with one stop in Abuja while the return flights, Frankfurt to Port Harcourt will be non-stop flights of about six hours and twenty minutes."
Lufthansa is the first International Airline that will be connecting Port Harcourt directly to Europe and beyond, and the only international carrier to service three Nigerian Airports with Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.
In addition to the existing connection to Lagos, Lufthansa will be offering ten weekly flights from Nigeria to Germany and thus double its frequencies.
