As countries continue to struggle with the effect of the coronavirus pandemic which battered the world's economy, the travel industry remains marred with uncertainty with locking and unlocking of international borders as more countries continue to set strict rules for travelers.
Spain and Malta are among the latest countries that just shut their doors against travelers especially the unvaccinated.
According to the reports, Spain will remain out of bounds for many travelers. As per a recent declaration by the Spanish Government, it has already set a limit on who can enter the country. It was gathered that only residents from European Union (EU) member states, and those belonging to the list of low-risk countries, may visit "without the need for diagnostic tests or vaccination or immunity certificates." Apart from them, all others, including Americans, will have to show proof of vaccination to enter Spain.
Malta is also set to ban visitors, who have not yet received both the jabs of COVID vaccines, from entering the country Referring to this, Malta Health MInister Chris Fearne stated that it will be the first EU country to do so. This development has, however, raised fears that other European countries might also follow suit as the Delta variant continues to spread across the continent.
Recall that the Canadian government recently announced that the country will not welcome any unvaccinated visitors for quite some time.
It is now necessary that anyone planning a trip should take note of the importance of vaccines and keep a constant tab on changing rules and travel updates while planning the essential as well as non-essential travel as more countries are now putting in place more strict rules each day.
