Emirates Flights To Nigeria Remain Suspended As Abu Dhabi Welcomes Visitors

The United Arab Emirates UAE’s national carrier, Emirates Airlines has announced the further suspension of flights between the UAE and Nigeria until at least Friday, 20 August 2021.


According to the Airline, the Government will announce the resumption of flights between the UAE and Nigeria. Noting that flights will resume when it is safe to do so and the resumption will be gradual.

It added that the resumption of flight is no longer in the hands of the airline, but the government.

Meanwhile, The Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Committee of Abu Dhabi has over the weekend updated travel procedures for UAE citizens, residents, and visitors entering Abu Dhabi from abroad.



The new procedure which has taken effect from Sunday, 15 August would see all Unvaccinated citizens, residents, and visitors arriving in Abu Dhabi from green list destinations taking a PCR test on arrival without the need to quarantine if they test negative, and take a PCR test on days 6 and 9.

While unvaccinated citizens, residents, and visitors arriving in Abu Dhabi from other destinations must take a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for 10 days, and take another PCR test on day 9.

Vaccinated travelers from green list destinations must take a PCR test upon arriving in Abu Dhabi without the need to quarantine, and take a PCR test on day 6. While vaccinated travelers from other destinations must take a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for seven days, and take a day 6 PCR test.
