The United States government has announced that it will no longer require pre-departure Covid-19 testing for the US bound passengers as from Monday, June 12, 2022,
This follows the high rates of vaccination and infection induced immunity in the country. The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says.
According to the CDC, "travellers will still be required to take a viral test before departure to the US and not to travel if they are feeling sick".
Major airlines flying the US routes have however expressed their optimism over the new development as they look forward to welcoming passengers back onboard.
