Contrary to the trending news that the United Arab Emirates UAE authority has suspended all visa applications for Nigerian nationals, The UAE visa section has stated that Nigerian visa applications were not banned by the Arabian country.
The staff of the visa section who spoke about the situation with TVC news stated that there was no such development. He disclosed that "the portal for the application is currently down because is undergoing upgrading and hopefully, will be available for visa applications in the coming week."
The rumor started some days ago after a video of some young Nigerians believed to be cult members were fighting and terrorizing people surfaced on social media.
The staff has however apologized on behalf of the section for any inconvenience this might cause them.
