The new secretariat which is the headquarters of the Western Zone of NANTA was officially commissioned on Thursday 26th January 2023. NANTA western zone comprises Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, and Kwara states.
The occasion was graced by veterans and a large number of members of the association and started at about 11AM on Thursday at the National Museum of Unity, Aleshinloye Ibadan, where the new secretariat is situated.
The national president of the association Mrs. Susan Akporiaye in her speech during the event charged and directed all the zonal leaders across the country to make NANTA proud by leaving behind good legacies. Madam President however expressed her happiness and commended the Vice President of Western Zone, Otunba Babatunde Adesokan for the job well done by establishing an income generation Secretariat for the zone.
Mrs. Teresa Ojo who spoke on behalf of the veterans expressed happiness over the achievement of the western Zone arm of NANTA. She did charge Otunba and all members of the association to keep breaking more ground.
Otunba Tunde Adesokan in his remark appreciated veterans, the executives, and every member of the association for their support. He added that the realization of the project is a dream coming to reality adding that this type of secretariat which is also a recreation center is what the association has been lacking and longing to have for a very long time. He encouraged every member of the association to feel free to come to the recreation center at any time. Otunba rewarded the veterans by giving them discounted cards for use anytime they visit the secretariat.
the newly inaugurated secretariat is a bungalow structure located within the National Museum which has a restaurant, bar, executive lounge, and conference hall for holding meetings.
