Turkey has announced visa-free entrance for citizens from six countries to promote tourism. Countries which will no longer require visas to enter Turkey are UAE, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Canada, Bahrain, and Oman. The move is part of substantial initiatives to boost tourism and enhance international ties.
The announcement was made on Friday by President Recep
Tayyip Erdogan which takes effect immediately and is published in the Turkish
Official Gazette.
The initiative intends to increase tourism and cultural
interactions between Turkey and designated countries by encouraging visitors to
explore Turkey's rich history, diversified landscapes, and lively heritage. The
visa-free regime is expected to boost diplomatic ties while benefiting the
tourism industry by attracting more visitors and encouraging tighter
international cooperation.
The country’s decision to provide visa-free entrance is a
deliberate move to enhance tourism, stimulate cultural exchanges, and
strengthen diplomatic connections with key states, which will likely benefit
the tourism industry and regional international relations.
