No Hike In Fares After Resumption - EgyptAir

EgyptAir said it will not increase ticket prices in the current period or after the end of Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the chairman of EgyptAir Roshdy Zakaria, said there would be no hike in fares, adding that such increases would have been implemented if onboard social distancing rules are to be applied, but the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has opposed it.
He said recent reduction packages by the government to boost inbound tourism upon the resumption of flights in July would allow for higher passenger turnout, helping to lower ticket prices.
More incentives will be introduced to encourage inbound tourism upon the gradual resumption of international flights.
Zakaria added that some trips would be combined in case of no demand, depending on booking rates, but it is too early to determine if such a move would be implemented.
The airline has opened booking for all it's European destinations, the US, Middle East, the Gulf, as well as China and in Africa, Sudan only. He said.
Egypt will gradual resume regular international flights at all its airports starting from July 1
