UAE: Vaccinated Passengers Will Be Welcomed

The United Arab Emirates, UAE is set to welcoming foreign vaccinated passengers from 20 August 2021.

Abu Dhabi-based carrier, Etihad Airways through its official website disclosed that travelers planning a visit to the UAE and are fully vaccinated with a recognized vaccine such as Sinopharm, Sinovac, Janssen, Pfizer, Sputnik V, Oxford-AstraZeneca, and Moderna would be welcomed at the Abu Dhabi airport. Adding that Covid-19 vaccines taken abroad will be recognized in the UAE.

As part of the updated guidelines for travelers planning a visit to Abu Dhabi, “passengers will need to register for ICA (Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship) approval before embarking on their journey.” The carrier stated.

Authorities in Abu Dhabi had earlier announced that the process for verifying international vaccination certificates for visitors coming to the country.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Committee has also updated travel procedures for UAE citizens and residents as well as visitors entering Abu Dhabi from abroad, effective from August 15.
